Our new HD+ palletizing system includes visual indicators for the safety scanner operation.
On the screen, you can see a green bar and two red corners displayed. These visuals help operators in real production quickly identify what is causing the system to slow down.
Area safety scanners like this will naturally collect dust over time. When that happens, the safety system detects it, and the system speed is automatically reduced for safety. That reduced rate is what we’re seeing here.
Right now, the robot is running at a reduced rate, and we can see the indicator is red on this side. When I move away from the left side, that indicator turns green, which tells us the area is now clear.
Next, we go and check the right side to see if we can find anything that might be triggering the slowdown. Once any obstruction or dust is cleared and all monitored areas are safe, the system indicators will return to green on all sides, and the HD Plus system will go back to full-speed operation.
The visual indicators are crucial for real-time production monitoring, making it easy for operators to see:
- Which area is causing a slowdown
- When scanners need cleaning or maintenance
- When the system is safe to run at full speed again
This combination of visual feedback and automatic speed adjustment helps maintain both safety and productivity in everyday operation.
